Since October, my body has naturally adjusted my weight.
After having Ariella, I was weighing more than I ever have before in my life, I was weighing 228.
I knew this would happen because I was already overweight when I found out I was pregnant. Josh and I were actually trying to lose weight together at the time.
Anyways, I have since then lost 21 pounds & counting. We have lost 1-2 pounds daily.
Josh joined me in this weight loss journey on New Year's day and has already lost 8 lbs. He also quit smoking!
When you decide as a family to change your eating habits it's easier for EVERYONE to stick with it because there's no temptation and you encourage one another to not give in for that favorite snack, pop, or sweets. Last year, I was following Keto and it was the best fit for me.
Josh also tried it but once we found out I was pregnant he stopped following it because it was hard for me to not include carbs in my diet (carbs helped with nausea) and here is where temptation takes place making it hard for the other to continue their journey. There's no separate meals. Now, I can make one meal for the whole family!
We were sitting in our living room talking about the different options we have for snacks and meals. What we have to eliminate, what we should eliminate but won't (fruits), and also how it has kept his mind off of wanting or craving cigarettes. Changing our way of eating has distracted him by making sure he's aware of what he's putting in his body and staying on track with his weight loss.
At this time, we haven't used any supplements just naturally detoxing and eating whole foods. Once we begin adding supplements I will update and share what we use.
